A World in a Grain of Sand

This curriculum connects specific case studies in literature, natural sciences, cultural geography, architecture, design, and art, aiming to teach what it means to think with models, fast and slow, across diverse disciplines.

The objective of this course is to develop interpretive literacy and enrich the pool of available intellectual resources for a given project. It teaches the relevance cross-disciplinary modeling has for recognising entangled, polymorphic problems of the 21st century. Modeling as a method offers a language precise enough for art and science to speak as co-authors of proposed worlds, without recourse to translation or hierarchy.
